Meet The Founder
First thing about me, I LOVE PIZZA! (Click here to open the picture) I have two brothers currently serving in the United States Army and Navy. This picture was taken when I visited my brother in Chicago, where we went to a local pizza restaurant called Giordano's Pizza. If you're ever visiting Chicago and are unsure about what to eat for lunch, I highly recommend Giordano's! The service is incredible, and although you may have to wait 45 minutes for their deep-dish pizza, I promise it's worth the wait!
Now, let me share a bit about myself. I am a graduate student pursuing an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in AI/ML. I also hold a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Biomedical Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a professor and researcher, merging the fields of Applied Mathematics and AI/ML with the biomedical world. My primary research interest lies in the enhancement of prosthetics using AI/ML, particularly in conjunction with neural networks. Someday, I hope to create something as iconic as the four arms used by Doc Ock in Spider-Man!
So, on to the question of why. Why did I create this Simple Learning Program? As a former and proud student of the The Science Academy of South Texas, my first few years of high school were nothing short of stressful and humbling. The curriculum was extremely heavy (at least for someone like me), and throughout my first two years, I was having a hard time adjusting to the academics that the school had. In addition to this, my GPA was down in the dumps, everyone else seemed to be having great success, and my confidence in academic success was at an all time low. I was eventually able to overcome these obstacles by amending my study habits, sacrificing unnecessary activities and just focusing down hard on what really mattered. I went on to college, got my double major degree in the Biological Sciences and Applied Maths, and here I am, still grinding after success.
This program was created out of an observed need wherein students all over the country, are going through the same experience I went through in high school. This program was created to foster hope and confidence that through hard and consistent work, not only can you pass, but you can excel and become a great academic. So, if you find yourself struggling, wherever you are on your academic journey, you can always rely that Simple Learning will be there to provide you with the tools, the confidence, and the hope to turn things around and become a success.
